Voicetesting:

[in order: Jupiter, Alfonse, and Little Mermaid]
In The Mood For:

[in order: Sayaka, Camilla, Linhardt, Carmelita, Hapi, and Jeritza]
Rules:
♥ Down for pretty much anything with these characters, though I do have a few memes I'm craving in particular; generic murdergame, last words, abrupt kissing, and nursed back to health. Of them, the first two are the highest priorities, though I am a sucker for shippy shit so /scalehands
♥ I'm down for pretty much everything with the voicetesting crew in particular, give me that good content. Everyone else I'd prefer to discuss an idea with first.
♥ Only stipulation is no smut on this post! I am down for it depending on the character (gonna be a firm no on Jupiter and Alfonse's end though), but I'd prefer to keep it under lock and key on another post.
♥ Shipping prefs! If y'all are down for something shippy, my main stipulations are that Jupiter is F/F only, strong pref for M/M on Alfonse's end, and strong pref for F/F on Camilla's end. Otherwise go nuts.
♥ Otherwise, have fun! I will simply state that these are the only characters I'm willing to bring out for this post, though, just as a fair warning.

generic murdergame prompts (general)
Age: 17 | Species: Human. | Occupation: Summer Scout.
Likes: Sports, schoolwork, working hard, being good, doing good things, being touched.
Dislikes: Unrealistic expectations, the Summer Scouts, agitating things, being looked up to, being touched.
Trivia: She's a perfect role model, except for how she always misses the winning goal and she always blanks on the last question.
waking up
[...You know, it probably isn't comforting that the last thing she remembers is Neptune absolutely going to town on poor Venus, the more Jupiter thinks about it. Even as she wakes up in a plush bed--probably the best bed she's slept in for a while, if she's being perfectly honest. Full offense to the Summer Scouts.
But this isn't where she's supposed to be, and she's pretty sure this isn't heaven. Not like she'd be able to get in there anyway, but Jupiter tentatively opens the door of the apparent dorm room she's in, and looks around at the people around her. This is...okay, this is a lot. This is kind of a lot? Jupiter walks out of her room among the cacophony of people, and--
Whoops, she isn't watching where she's going and bumps into someone! That someone may, in fact, be you. Jupiter's quick to jolt back, a little startled, but she plays it off quickly.]
Ah, sorry. [Always say sorry, it's just polite--] You got any idea what's going on here?
[Her tone's about as casual as ever, but she's definitely a little more than ill at ease.]
motive
[It's at least been a week since this game has started, and on the surface at least, Jupiter seems fine. She's definitely every bit as go-getting as her profile implies; while she definitely hasn't felt a need to take the lead among everyone here, she's the first to offer suggestions, playing it off casually and trying not to take too much credit. Much like the party that was held last weekend; something she'd brought up on a whim, and it seemed to go over well. Jupiter is doing her best to keep everyone calm, and she's always got an ear and a little casual advice, but she's...definitely a little more than high strung.
And nowhere is this more apparent than when their captor calls them down to give them an incentive to kill. It's a simple thing; an envelope with a picture inside. Of the worst possible thing that could happen, because they aren't there to stop it.
Jupiter doesn't even need to open her envelope to know what's inside, and yet, she does anyway. And there's Venus, dead on the ground while Neptune rampages, and it's--
Snap.
Jupiter snaps her bracelet against her wrist, and looks around at the others. The rest of them are probably taking it pretty badly too, right? Once they all separate, she'll be looking out for everyone else; if you happened to be reacting badly to this, well, Jupiter's going to be trying to check in on you. Is this because she's trying to ignore her own problems? Absolutely. Is that the sole reason she's doing this? No, it's because it's a good thing to do. The right thing to do. It's what good people do.
So, where ever you are, you'll be getting a knock on the nearest surface--be it a door or the side of a wall, and--]
Hey. You got a second?
[It's tentative, at least. Casual as ever.]
(not at the) afterparty
[Two people died today.
That's what weighs on Jupiter's mind, a hammered in fact that isn't going to leave. Two people died, because they couldn't stop someone from killing. Because they weren't good enough, she wasn't good enough to try and stop them, even if it reasonably wasn't her fault because there's nothing one can do in these kind of situations, it seems.
And yet, they all voted to send the culprit into the pit, and Jupiter's never felt more sick in her life. Someone's set up an afterparty, and Jupiter would be utterly remiss to not help out a bit. In any normal circumstance, she would.
But right now, as she holes herself up in the library, the last thing she wants to see is people. She's curled in on herself on one of the couches in here; hugging herself like this has always been a comfort. It's the only comfort she has, at this point. But if she happens to see you enter, Jupiter's gaze will fall upon you for only a moment before staring out into space again. It takes a moment, but...]
...You think we're going to hell, for what we did today?
[...That sure is a question. If you've talked to her before, it might not be too much of a surprise, considering what she's said of the Summer Scouts and at least a little bit of casual talk about religion. But...yeah, this is a mess.]

Age: 16 | Species: Human | Occupation: Descendant
Likes: Mysteries, Gotham Academy, her friends, acting, Bruce Wayne
Dislikes: Mysteries, legacy, Batman
Trivia: Olive was once briefly trapped in an endlessly-repeating sixteenth birthday party.
[ Well, that's... certainly a question! Olive does put the effort in to actually turn that over in her head a bit, thinking for a moment before she provides an answer. ]
I think... there are probably extenuating circumstances we could plead.
no subject
Yeah. We probably could. Self defense, right? Or we could just blame our captor. I'm totally sure a lot of the blame would be on him. [...] Sorry. That probably isn't the kind of question anyone wants to answer.

Trivia: He's been cursed since he was 8 years old.
[Suga had hoped he would be prepared for what they had to do today.
He wasn't.
In some ways it was easier than the spirits in the forest (detestable, worthless, unwanted child) because he didn't have to cut those people down himself. But they were just as innocent, and he was just as to blame for their ultimate fate.
He'd been avoiding people in the library, but it seems like he's not the only one with that idea.
It takes him a second to jot down a memo in response.]
I don't think there was anything else we could do
If we'd voted wrong even more people would have died
That should be forgiveable
I think
no subject
...Yeah. Maybe. I don't know, but...
[Jupiter just kind of closes in on herself a little more.]
It feels just, like, we did something terrible. But all of this, it's just...totally rigged in our captor's favor. [Jupiter pauses after saying that, though.] I don't know. It just feels like we got hit with a bad option, and a worse option, and either way, we screwed up. It sucks, right?

Trivia: Yuu is the only girl in attendance at Night Raven College.
Yuu... regrets opening that envelope. She knew what was going to be in it before she even opened it, but she wasn't... expecting how bad it was going to be.
The horror was written on her face when the envelopes were distributed, and it didn't take her long to flee to her room. Maybe she should have expected the knock, but it still surprises her, shakes her out of her thoughts. She opens the door, though her pained expression becomes a shaky smile when she sees Jupiter.]
Oh, Jupiter. Hi. Of course. Do you want to come in...?
no subject
Yeah, sure. If you want. [...] You looked kind of...bad, earlier. Are you gonna be alright?
[Jupiter at least waits until Yuu closes the door before asking that, but neither her tone nor posture is accusatory either way. It's just calm as ever, as if this were a casual conversation.]

Age: 27? | Species: Vampire | Occupation: N/A
Likes: Fighting, humans, freedom, traveling, money.
Dislikes: Vampires, nobility, studying, difficult things, being abandoned.
Trivia: He chose the name "Malice" for himself after going through several other equally edgy names!
[Nice beds aren't exactly uncommon anymore, but there's still something surreal about waking up in comfort, without having to worry about his surroundings any. At least, that's how things are supposed to be, but given that these are very unfamiliar surroundings, it looks like Malice has something different to worry about today. By the time he surveys the room and opens the door, the hallway's already swarming with other equally confused people. Malice stands out from the crowd - he's 6'3" and lanky, with bright purple hair so he's a bit hard to miss.
Or maybe not, given that Jupiter bumps into him. He flinches back reflexively, left arm coming up before he pauses and settles like nothing just happened. He rests his hand on his hip and inclines his head a bit at the apology; an acknowledgement, at least.]
None. I was hoping one of you'd know. I'm guessing you don't remember heading out to a place like this?
[He sounds pretty laid back about the whole thing. Though he speaks quickly, he doesn't seem to be in any hurry to go looking around, though occasionally that bright yellow eye flicks up to scan the crowd, like he can't stand still for five minutes. Malice is wearing a brown cloak over dark pants; both look to be pretty well-worn, but still in good condition.]

Either way, Jupiter shakes her head and shrugs her shoulders.]
Nope. Last thing I remember is waiting for one of my group members to get done in the bathroom...
[...It's a safe statement, because boy she does not wanna get into it. Not that it's obvious from looking at her, because thankfully she can at least fake her chill.]
And, like, we're not really supposed to be going anywhere else? So uh. This is pretty bad, actually. [Jupiter rubs the back of her head.] Why would someone want to drag us to a place like this, anyway?

generic murdergame special prompt
do you know the devil?
[It's been weeks. However many, Jupiter doesn't even know how many anymore; she's long lost track of them. She got dragged into this place just as God told the three of them that the devil was there, that it was certain that he was there among them. To say this iteration of Jupiter has been notably more stressed is an understatement.
But she's somehow managed to persevere. She's managed week after week of this, no matter how hard it's gotten. No matter how much she's wanted to cry, to break something, to do something she'd regret in the morning. Jupiter wasn't a very open person, but she had plenty of people she liked to talk to. Even as their numbers thinned, as people she cared about began dying, she still had plenty to cling to. And at least one of those things was the minor hope that the devil wouldn't come for her.
What a fucking idiot she'd been.
The motive this week was the fact that their 'powers' had been turned back on; Jupiter didn't realize it at first until she could finally work that small radio she had with her again and tune into god's station. He's always at 109.8 FM, after all; reliable, and easy to find. It'd been easy to turn the radio on again, and yet, those damning words left the radio once more.
"It is certain that the devil is coming.
It is certain.
It is absolutely certain the devil is already here."
Jupiter's been distant from the rest of the group. She has to be. If the devil reached out to any of the others, Jupiter would never forgive herself for letting it happen. So she's once again taken the burden all upon herself, and she's shut everyone else out. But even from the ballroom where she's currently holed up, on a goddamn Thursday no less, she's having a much harder time with this than she thought. She doesn't even know why she's here. The Devil probably made her come out here. She could certainly blame him for a lot.
And yet, the room feels suffocating. To anyone who enters, it feels almost humid, and one can probably feel themselves start to sweat. It feels like there are hands grasping in the air, touching one's skin, grasping them, and Jupiter can be heard quietly weeping as the same message drones on and on.
"It is certain that the devil is coming.
It is certain.
It is absolutely certain the devil is already here."]
...I just gotta make it til morning. I just...I just...
[She doesn't hear anyone who might be coming in, but Jupiter knows deep down she's not going to last for the rest of the night. The devil is making sure of it; she just hopes that nobody else gets caught up in this.]
hi Sable I'm here for suffering :)
Age: 31 | Species: Human | Occupation: Engineer
Likes: Inventing, planning, development, operation checks
Dislikes: Social situations
Trivia: Isaac's ancestors are from the Moon.
[This has been an awkward week for Isaac, to say the least. With no "powers" to speak of, he can't help but feel even more vulnerable than usual to be surrounded by unknown abilities that the others would very much like to keep on.
He's always been a bit of a loner out of habit, so it hasn't been too difficult to avoid the others and ride this all out. But it hasn't escaped his notice that he's barely seen Jupiter this week either. Is she in the same boat as him, maybe? He'd hate for someone around Gwynne's age to get caught up in someone else's quest to keep their powers on, so maybe he should check up on her- see if she wants to hang out with him until this is all over.
When she doesn't answer her door, he goes out looking for her...after he makes sure he has his Handy Dandy Modded Taser on him, of course. He knows what day it is, and what it means for all of them.
When he reaches the ballroom, he can immediately tell something is wrong. His fight or flight senses kick in instantly, and he's about to make a run for it...but then he hears Jupiter's weeping beyond the awful aura. Oh no. Is someone else after her? He really shouldn't intervene and put his own life at risk, and yet...
He swallows hard and pushes his way inside.]
J-Jupiter?
[He readies the taser in case someone tries to jump him.]
It's Isaac. Where are you? I'm gonna get you out of here.
[Bold words to be saying on a Thursday night, he knows. He knows. But he's hoping all of their conversations leading up to this have proven that he's not about to turn around and off her now.]
i'm gonna sue you for emotional damages on this thread s2g
And someone's going to get hurt for this. Jupiter may want to hurt something, to tear something apart, to act upon everything she's tried to stuff down for so long--longer than she's been here, longer than she's even been at that damned Camp--but she can't do this. She can't stop it, but she can't do this, she just can't. She didn't even want to do something to Venus or Neptune, of course she doesn't want to do anything to Isaac. Not after he's been nice, and pretty damn easy to be around. She can't, she just can't--]
Isaac?
[God's broadcast continues to play over and over, like some kind of sickening National Service Announcement, and the air starts to feel even more suffocating as a result. Jupiter won't be able to make it until dawn; that realization is even more clear now.]
No--no, you need to get out of here. It's dangerous. It's...
[Jupiter's words die off there, but it shouldn't be too hard to find her; it sounds like it's coming from over in the left corner, towards the piano, where there's some stage-like curtains that she seems to be hiding behind.
Continue forward?]

Age: 17 | Species: Merman | Occupation: Student, Vice-prefect of the Octavinelle Dormitory
Likes: Mushrooms, terrariums, unexpected things, octopus carpaccio
Dislikes: Predictable things, boredom
Trivia: Jade's best subject is Magic Pharmaceuticals.
[It's not that Jade's unused to violence.
Given his upbringing, it's almost an expected thing, even. But this is...
... it makes his stomach turn in ways he doesn't like. He's not sure what it is about this that makes it different, but it doesn't matter. It's over; it's done with. And... he has to deal with it alone. Oh, no, it's not that he's by himself by any means--everyone here is in the same boat, so to speak--but of the many people here (two less than earlier in the week)... none of them are Floyd or Azul.
He'd taken it upon himself to help with the afterparty--hah, some party--to distract himself. Food was a simple enough matter.
But now that he no longer has it to think about... he's off by himself, nursing some tea and picking at his plate of food. He won't turn down company, at the very least.]

Age: 18 | Species: Human. | Occupation: Prince of Askr.
Likes: Reading, peace, protecting the people, being a hero.
Dislikes: Seasonal costumes, mistakes, people who leave without saying goodbye.
Trivia: Alfonse has fought against at least five kingdoms, two of which were the domain of gods.
[Alfonse is far from unused to violence; it's a sickening thing to have gotten used to, due to the many attacks on Askr, but Alfonse has more than steeled his heart enough in the face of it to be used to such a thing. Even if it still sickens him.
To say that this situation is irritating would be a gross understatement. Two people died today--two people who's lives could have been saved if it wasn't for the rules of this awful game. And in a way, they're all responsible in some manner, aren't they? They voted the culprit to their execution. There's blood on their hands, and though Alfonse has had plenty, it still makes him uneasy.
Alfonse would be remiss not to help with the afterparty, though, and he gladly does help with setting things up. It's the duty of a prince to help the people, and that's certainly how he notices Jade's demeanor. He's...still rather confused by the merman, but as much as Alfonse wants to retired to the library and lose himself in books, he can't ignore someone in need. It's what sees Alfonse walk over to where Jade is sitting, gently clearing his throat.]
Excuse me, Jade? Might I join you for a moment?
[His tone is as respectful as ever, but there is something kind in it. Maybe a little sympathetic, too, but Alfonse is just ever the stiff young man.]
no subject
It's something easy to fall back on, especially when the prince reminds him so much of a certain magic-less first-year.
He looks up when he's addressed and smiles, though the expression lacks its usual slyness, and almost seems a bit strained as he gestures to the other chair at the table.]
Please, feel free.
no subject
Of course. You have my thanks.
[Alfonse's tone is as respectful as ever, though he tips his head a bit, brows knitting just a touch in concern.]
...I know not if you wish to speak of what is on your mind, but you do not seem well, Jade. Might there be something I can do to help?

Little Mermaid | SINoALICE
generic murdergame prompts
Age: ??? | Species: Mermaid. | Occupation: Former princess of the sea.
Likes: Beautiful things, unrequited love, tragedies, Hans Christian Andersen.
Dislikes: Happy endings, those who wallow in their own misery, being dissected.
Trivia: Little Mermaid wants to resurrect her own author so she can make her story even more miserable.
act of peace
[The Little Mermaid is likely a strange one, even amongst the many people in this game. She seems perfectly affable and willing to talk to others, most of the time; she answers their questions easily, though with a bit of a detached air about her. Other times, she can be found weeping; it seems she does that quite often. There's almost always a sort of sad air around the Little Mermaid, and to those who at least know of the story her author wrote, it's likely no surprise that she's miserable.
Even so, it's been a week and somehow, nobody has died yet. If anything, the Little Mermaid expected this tragic story to begin that much quicker; for someone to be the first to plunge a dagger into someone, and for their sorrows to collectively begin to pile up. It's strange that it hasn't. The Little Mermaid can't help but feel the people who are relishing in the fact that nobody has died yet extremely shallow. Don't they know that something truly beautiful is on the horizon...? The sorrow to come, the beautiful pain of loss.
How deeply shallow of the people.
It's what sees the Little Mermaid out and about today; walking about this closed off hotel feels strange, despite how luxurious it is. And yet as the Little Mermaid wanders into the dining area, she regards you a little before grabbing food and taking a seat nearby. She's just sitting here now, it's fine--]
It would seem that we have somehow made it through this week, despite the tragedy our captor wishes to see us inflict upon one another. [...] Do you believe that we will be able to stay this course?
[...ma'am, this is a hotel dining hall, what the actual fuck.]
act of sorrow
[It didn't take much longer for the games to begin. A motive had been passed to those among them--it had been something simple, really. A secret that would destroy the very life of the person holding it, if they did not act upon rule 7. It was a creative motive, the Little Mermaid could admit, but she also found it laughably pathetic. Even so, it would be the perfect catalyst.
And boy, was the Little Mermaid not wrong. Someone sweet had managed to die; someone she wept and wept for, when they all found the body. Oh, what a tragedy it was, to see them slumped against a wall, their blood painting it red. There were many reactions among them; outrage. Horror. Despair. Tears. Though the Little Mermaid wept and wept, perhaps someone more eagle eyed could have seen her expression underneath her hands.
She was smiling. Oh, the sounds of sorrow were ever beautiful, and were even more so in the trial itself. Whether or not she'd been accused at any point (though she'd definitely cry and try to make the accuser feel bad for doing so), the Little Mermaid was not involved, and the culprit's demise...oh, it was icing on the cake. Beautiful. Simply beautiful.
It's the afterparty that comes that sees the Little Mermaid among them all, in the dining hall where the food is laid out. She's sitting rather far away from the rest, though she seems to be observing everyone who's here. Her gaze is strangely at ease, despite it all, and despite the tears that still flow freely from her. And yet, she speaks to herself, writing in what appears to be a notebook while sighing...]
...How strange it is. The world truly is more beautiful this way.
[M A ' A M]
act of ???
[Welcome to the wildcard option! I am kind of not great at writing too many prompts at once and I will probably get back to these this evening, but I did wanna lay out some extra options in case anyone wanted to mess around with shit. Or you can just hit me with something! Either way works.
- If we have a Dojo, one might find the Little Mermaid in there during various parts of the day. She's uh. Scarily competent with all sorts of weapons? Like, swords, lances, axes, bows, SINoALICE kind of lets everyone be a part of the weapon triangle all at once. Feel free to bump into her here!
- If we have a Pool, you can definitely find the Little Mermaid in there semi-often. Listen, she is a simple misery-lover, she likes to swim.
- One thing I'd definitely love to play with is the fact that she does not wear shoes in most of her class outfits. So uh, if you wanna yell at her about that or help her with likely foot injuries, I'm down for this as well.
- If we have a music room of some kind, one of SINoALICE's classes is the Minstrel! Which means she can play instruments quite well, but canonically, she has a preference for string instruments; particularly harps. If you wanna do some shit with that, lemme know!
- Honestly if you just wanna straight up murder this bitch, I give you my full blessing. Get her ass. Same goes for the reverse too! I actually kind of do have an idea if anyone wants to get McFucking Murdered by her so like. 👀 hmu if you're down???
- ...I'm also down for mastermind talks if you wanna play the mastermind in this scenario, because. Let's be honest, she could absolutely be a mole? Or just talk to the mastermind too much about misery and shit. I'm so sorry in advance for her.]
no subject
So as a result she had spent most of the afterparty trying to sleep, until she opens one eye sleepily to glance at Mermaid sitting close enough to hear her. No surprise there that the other girl had taken the proceedings in such a way, and for a moment, Beauty allows herself to speak.]
It's quieter now... without them.
[The victim, and the culprit she means.]
... If more die, maybe it will be quiet enough to finally sleep.
[BEAUTY NO]
no subject
It is quieter. Much so. Even the weeping and tears of the others are performed in a soft silence akin to a lullaby, are they not...?
[There's beauty in that, though it is a lesser beauty to the despair of finding the body.]
You may have to wait weeks, however. For their numbers to thin enough to be granted the sleep you seek...unless they see it fit to cause an even larger tragedy.
[mermaid PLEASE don't suggest that we're gonna start letting all the bodies hit the floor in week 3???]

Trivia: Tenn shares a lot of preferences with his twin brother.
[ Tenn Kujo may have lived a relatively normal life compared to some of the others here, but he's certainly not one to be underestimated, either. He's got a sharp eye and pays attention to little details -- as one must when they're striving for perfection, really -- so he doesn't miss the look on the Little Mermaid's face as she weeps. ... No, that wasn't weeping, that was a farce. He narrows his eyes, committing that pathetic smile of hers to memory, and he's not about to let her live it down, either.
Especially not while she's staring at everyone like that despite the tears rolling down her cheeks. Tenn approaches her almost immediately after everyone settles in at the afterparty, hands on his hips. ]
Hey.

... Another world's version of the Little Mermaid, almost certainly, but there's still something intriguing about it. About her. She's so different from what the story in his world would have indicated. It's fascinating.
... If also a little concerning? Ma'am, are you okay?
He looks up from his food when he sees her take a seat, and nods in acknowledgement of his fellow merperson. He's about to go back to his ceviche when she speaks up and--
MA'AM???? Still, though, it'd be rude to not answer her question... His smile is as polite as ever despite the topic at hand.]
Oh, most certainly not. I'm almost certain someone will break eventually.

i cannot WAIT and god, jade does not deserve this mess
Yes, that is true. It is likely that our captor will see his passivity as a folly; I doubt that he will continue to stay idle, and allow us to keep living this...boring, shallow life here. It is but a matter of time.
[The way she says that is pretty detached, really, though the ghost of a smile seems to grace her lips. It's likely just your imagination as she takes another bite of food.]
It will likely be unpleasant.
