You guys know the drill! Call out a character, I'll bring 'em out. Few notes before we begin:

♥ I'm down for pretty much anything! If you aren't certain about something, feel free to ask and we can plot it out. AUs, post-game scenarios, murdergame scenarios, other shit (and non-canon stuff I suppose re: Trustfells), bring it. Only thing that's a no on this post is Smut. PP me so I can set up another thread if you wanna do that.
♥ For Fire Emblems in particular, I'm a tad picky about my pairings. So ask if you wanna do pairing stuff. Same with the kids, even if Mitama's the only one I really have; I tend to go with Hana as her mom, though.
♥ From Sayaka to Mitama is where I'm confident with Camilla as a sole exception, whereas Three to Kaden is pure voicetesting with the exception of Flora.
♥ You can call out anyone I have an account for on my muselist (and considering list), but be forewarned that I'll be slow with anyone I'm not very confident in and may have to drop the thread if I can't do it. Just don't call out anyone in the retired corner, please!

MOM FOR MURDERGAME AU

[Waking up in an unfamiliar location and being faced with "rules" that heavily imply that there's no escape from this place isn't Shigure's idea of a good time. In fact, he's trying very hard not to panic right now, because that won't solve anything. He has to get home, he has to get out of here as soon as possible but...

But the only way out seems to be to murder another person.

He's in the foyer right now, staring at the rules. His hands are clenched tightly at his sides and when he turns slightly he catches sight of the profiles. They're listed in alphabetical order and it doesn't take him long to find a familiar face among them.]

...Mother...?

[If he thought the situation was bad to begin with, then boy was he really mistaken.]

[Needless to say, Shigure wasn't alone in that regard. This wasn't the castle, nor the lake, nor...anywhere she recognized or where she was supposed to be. Had she been kidnapped once more? Perhaps Azura could assume that these people would be as kind as Queen Mikoto when she woke, but seeing the rules...

Azura does her best to hide her fears as she walks to the profiles, looking at the unusual looking child who was reading them. 'Mother'? Was this child looking for his parents?]

...Are you alright?

[Azura's never really been one for talking all that much. Her siblings were an exception rather than the rule, but she can't just leave a child behind like this. They wouldn't forgive her, and she wouldn't forgive herself.]

You seem troubled.

[Shigure turns when he hears her familiar voice (a voice he hasn't heard in awhile, come to think of it) and he stops short when he looks at her.

There isn't any sort of recognition in her eyes.]

M— I-I'm sorry, you don't recognize me?

[One hand goes up immediately to push his bangs out of his face (who styled his hair like this, come to think of it?) but he doubts it'll help any. How could his own mother not recognize him?]

[...this is troubling. One of the weirdest things about this boy is that she's only seen that hair and those eyes on one other person--her mother. Who on earth could this boy possibly be?]

I do not. I have never seen you before. [...It's a little bit blunt, and Azura pauses for a moment as she seems to observe him.] But...you have the same eyes and hair as me.

[...she'll step past him a bit so she can look over the profiles. Let's see--well, her profile is...mildly accurate. Who is this 'Corrin'? She feels like she's heard the name before, at least. She's no advisory, though, her likes and dislikes are very...how did they get some of this without her dying? Who is this son the profile speaks of? And her title...

Solemn. Well, it sounds accurate enough to her, at least. After reading more of the profiles, she finds the boy in question and reads just a bit. She doesn't turn back to him when she finishes, but she speaks once she does.]

You're...Shigure, then?

[It hurts more than any training injuries ever could, and Shigure suspects it hurts more than an actual wound would. How can she not recognize him? How is that possible? He's spent his entire life trying to emulate her and his father and now...

Worrying about it isn't going to solve anything and his mother— Azura has questions for him.]

That's correct. I'm...

[Does he tell her? If she doesn't remember, that would be an awful lot to spring on her, wouldn't it? That would be cruel, to burden her with such a thing when she clearly has no memory of it.

Instead he shakes his head and changes tactics.]

You don't remember arriving here, do you? I can't recall anything strange before I woke up here.

[Shigure's profile mentions his family under "likes" along with painting and art in general, his dislikes include death and losing people he cares about, along with the very specific "not being perfect enough". His title is Mercurial.]

[...well, that was a quick shift of the subject. If anything though, it helps make the situation potentially less awkward. His interests sound nice, though; whomever his parents were must have been good people, to enrich his life like that.]

No, I don't remember. No one could have gotten into the castle without injury. The last thing I remember is walking out to a nearby lake, and...

[...She'd been tempted to turn around, hadn't she? Azura pulls her arms closer to herself, turning away.]

We must have been kidnapped. By who, I don't know, but...I would not be surprised if Nohr is behind it.

Nohr?

[He recognizes the name, of course. It's hard not to with all the stories Mother has told him. But how would forces from Nohr have gotten into the deeprealm in the first place? It doesn't seem likely. Mother has made it clear many times that she wants him to be safe, so the deeprealm she chose to leave him in clearly isn't something just anyone can wander into.

...She doesn't remember that, though.]

I suppose it's possible. I'm not sure why they would want me, though.

[He shifts from one foot to the other, staring at the profiles like they'll offer any information. None of the other names are familiar at all...]

[...so he recognizes it. That makes a little bit of sense, but that's raising more questions.]

Look at everyone else. It is clear that they did not discriminate.

[The rest of these people are unfamiliar, really, but they all come from different backgrounds. It's clear that there's nothing unifying them all together...at least for now. Azura's lip purses a bit.]

They should not have taken a child. That is senseless and cruel of them. Your parents...they must miss you so much.

Oh, I...

[How does he respond to that...]

I'm... I'm certain they do. Though I'm able to take care of myself. I'm practically living on my own now!

[He doesn't need her to think he's useless and needs to be protected, but the words are a little too harsh given his situation in the deeprealm. Ah, but it doesn't really matter since Azura doesn't remember it, right?]

[...okay, she hasn't had the most well adjusted childhood, but that gets the smallest of smiles out of Azura.]

Parents will always worry. Siblings as well. Maybe we won't have to worry for too long, if they come to find us.

[...of course, thinking back to those rules...]

That's more than enough reason to stay alive. Isn't it?

Oh, I don't have any siblings.

Of course. I wouldn't want my parents to worry. Surely this can't go on for too long, correct? It's just a matter of waiting for help to arrive.

[...oh. Well...]

No, I doubt it will. But we don't know how any of the others could react...

[...hell, she doesn't know if she should trust him. But at the same time...there's a feeling she can't place, as she keeps on looking at him. And she still can't get over his hair or eyes...]

Do you want to look around with me? Maybe we can find an opening.

[Right, there could be someone here who would be rash enough to kill someone based on these "rules", right? As terrible as it sounds, he can't trust anyone here except Azura. Even if she doesn't remember him, she'd never do something so cruel.]

...I'd like that. Thank you.

[It's not really good enough, but he'd like to stick close to her anyway. What if she never remembers? It's a terrifying thought.]

I believe I passed by a library on the way here... shall we start there?

I'm not going to leave someone's child behind. It would be cruel.

[It's a simple enough explanation, at least. Maybe she'd be able to properly understand what's going on when they get back to the castle, and they could find the boy's parents.]

That may be our best bet. Perhaps the texts in there will lead us to a better understanding...would you lead the way, Shigure?

[Right, let's just move on, then!! Boy, this is awkward. But he's just going to try his best not to find it weird or terrible or anything.

The library's standard as far as libraries in murdergames go; there isn't anything particularly helpful in here. That doesn't stop Shigure from getting engrossed in a few books that look very interesting, of course.]

[Well, that's a bit of a bummer--Azura was hoping for records of some kind, at least. Not all of this natter that she can barely understand--it's a little frustrating, and Azura goes to meet over with Shigure once she's done...]

Shigure, I don't think there's anything of--

[...oh. That's...well, she doesn't like to interrupt, but she stops herself short when she sees him reading. Those don't look important, but...

Well, she's going to walk away and grab something of her own while she joins him then. She didn't find anything too interesting, but she's plucked an old storybook from the shelves. It'll be a good distraction.]

[It's easier to lose himself in a fictional world than it is to confront the reality of the situation. They're trapped in some horrible place and encouraged to kill each other. Mother is here, but she doesn't recognize him. Reading isn't exactly going to solve any of those problems, but it'll make them seem a little less important for a little bit and he's fine with that. He can deal with everything later.

Eventually he'll look up though, when he realizes that he probably should be doing something useful instead of getting lost in stories.

...It's good to see Mother had the same idea, though.]

Maybe the library wasn't such a good idea...

[He laughs, though it's a bit awkward.]

[It really is much easier--it'd be nice to forget the situation entirely, but books can't prevent everything, can they? As much as it would be nice if they could. Azura looks over when Shigure speaks up.]

Pay it no mind. It's better than thinking about the situation at hand. I wasn't able to find anything noteworthy, so it was not a waste.

[...really, if anything she's inclined to stay, even with people doing the same thing as them. Azura's not paying any of them any mind, though.]

I would not mind staying here with you, unless you wanted to look elsewhere.
