[Truth be told, Felicia's expediencies weren't exactly high when she came back without Corrin's dead body. Felicia didn't expect to come back at all, really--she genuinely thought that someone may have killed her, too, but waking up in a medical area with only Flora's brooch in her hand made her realize the cold reality of the situation.
Flora was dead. Corrin was still alive, and she was advancing toward the capital to take Garon down. And before she gets to him, she'll have to get to Xander...
Really, if anything? Xander was the one who surprised her most in this situation. It was him who brought her back into the capital--despite the arguments of Garon and Iago, both of those dreadful men, Xander had brought her back. Felicia dared not to speak of why he did--to her, it was obvious. To Garon? It wasn't even close. But Iago...something about that man put her on edge. Even moreso that the cold atmosphere of the castle. Felicia was at least becoming better at her work, but that was solely to avoid any ire and try to think of how Flora would do it. Even if thinking of Flora was bound to bring her to tears, Felicia knew she had to keep her head, because Xander was going to have to face Corrin next.
And that's...not a thought that Felicia wants to go down today.
Felicia's a little bit later than her normal time, when she goes to visit Xander--she's been having more tasks forced onto her, and the fact that she's even managed that bit of lateness rather than hours late speaks more to Felicia's own unease, than anything. But it's fine. She can at least see Xander, it'll be fine.
That's what she tells herself.]
Prince Xander? [Felicia knocks on the door a bit, trying to work up a smile.] I've brought you some tea...and oh, I tried to make some scones, too! I don't know how good they'll be, but...are you occupied?
